Oh hi! It’s been a minute, right? I’ve been doing so many things while I’ve been away from the interwebz.
This weekend Dustin and I went to Hood River. We camped, he was in a wedding, we went to the river, we played with our friends. It was good.
And of course, I documented it all with my iPhone (because even though I freaked out about remembering my camera, I didn’t use it at all… wah wah).
Friday I played in Hood River with my friends while Dustin spent some time with his friend Brandon + some of the groomsmen from the wedding over in Underwood.
Like I said, Dustin and I camped out this weekend (his vacation, his rules). Friday after our friend time Dustin was nice enough to pick me up and take me to the camp site. Below is a picture I snapped of Dustin in his tent, which I’m pretty sure is the size of my 1L apartment. We stayed at the Tucker Park Campground outside of Hood River, right along the edge of the Hood River!
On Saturday Dustin was in his friend Brandon’s wedding:
Before the wedding I forced Dustin to take me to my parents’ house to get ready. Because camping and getting ready for a wedding don’t mix in my book… But really, I was so dirty camping, I just couldn’t put on a cute dress and heels while I was all dirty. So to my parents’ house we went. Before we headed for the wedding, we took this picture of me and my dad:
The wedding though, was so cute. It was a backyard/farm wedding with some punk-rock mixed in, in the form of the bridal party’s outfits. Dustin was the cutest groomsman. He even made a speech after dinner about how Brandon was the closest thing to a brother he’s ever had and how he had a tear in his eye during the ceremony (he like, never cries). So sweet!
The farm animals (I petted a chick and a pony) and the white decorations/tables/everything on green grass, the dancing and hanging with my Dustin love were my favorite parts. I love weddings! It’s a good thing that we have two more this week (one on Friday and another Saturday). Bring it on, wedding season!
After the wedding we met Marissa for a drink. We ran into some other friends too and proceeded to let one drink turn into two and an order of tots. It was a fun night. Hood River is the best.
Sunday Dustin and I laid on the beach and got in the water down at the Hood River with Josh and Sarah. I love going to the river. I was so happy. After the river I convinced the three of them to join me at Double Mountain for pizza and a beer before I had to head back to Seattle.
I waited until the last minute to head home to Seattle. It was late when I finally got back last night, and I am a little embarrassed to admit that I was unreasonably sad leaving. Dustin stayed. I have to work at my temp job this week while he’s on vacation. BattleCat and I will be spending a lot of quality time together this week, then we’re meeting at Yakima on Friday for Steph’s wedding #PC05wedding!
