porr ritto MEEE

and the phrase that almost made me spit tea all over my laptop:

So ronery! Porr ritto MEEE!

laugh out loud.

Anyway, today I got a motivational pep-talk that was really more like getting yelled at (and I don't know how to not end this sentence in a dangling preposition, so I'm sorry). Anyway, it left me both depressed and motivated. Moral of the scary pep-talk: this is bigger than you. It made me remember why I came to law school (to help Native Americans). And then the "fortune" on my tea string said "feel good, be good and do good." I like it. Motivational things that are keeping me going through this day. That and tea + happy light = hopefully some energy for homework so later I can lay in bed and watch a movie before I go to sleep (hopes & dreams & things ha).

Also, it was like a blizzard outside earlier and they closed the pass so Dustin is stuck in Wenatchee = BOO! Luckily it isn't sticking here (yet).

afternoon music

I've had my wonderful little iPhone hooked up to my speakers all afternoon with Pandora blasting my "Phoenix" station while I do my homework for tomorrow. I highly recommend it to you, lovelies! (Phoenix station, not my law school homework, because that sucks ha).

But, I am looking forward to surprise, mini one-night-getaway with Dustin tomorrow night. Yay for 4 day weekends.

Also, it looks like I'll be in Hawaii for spring break, which I am more than thrilled about. I need some sunshine in my life STAT.

Speaking of sunshine-happiness, Dustin gave me the best gift yesterday. He found a light that is supposed to mimic sunlight and make you happy and energetic during sad sad seattle winters. He also got me some St. John's Wart and vitamin D. Like I said before, best, most thoughtful gift ever! Thanks, YOU!

Bow Down to Washington

Behold some of the University of Washington's most famous alumni performing the UW fight song, "Bow Down to Washington!" Produced by BECU, a Washington State Credit Union, to celebrate the launch of its new University of Washington branded debit MasterCard.

The video features actor Richard Karn; softball star Danielle Lawrie; travel guru Rick Steves; sax player Kenny G; basketball legend Detlef Schrempf; football legends Brock Huard, Damon Huard and Sonny Sixkiller; Celtics Guard Nate Robinson; basketball standout Elise Woodward; philanthropist Bill Gates, Sr.; comedian Nancy Guppy; and superfan Captain Husky and his Deputy Dawg.

valentine's day

I'm not a big fan of Valentine's day - and by not a big fan I mean I hate this day. It just places a ton of unnecessary pressure on everyone and makes people feel bad and I'm not a fan of that (plus it often leaves me feeling sad and lonely and I don't like a day that somehow makes me feel less self-worth than I should feel).

However, one good thing about this day is that 25 years ago today I was conceived (11/14/86 minus 9 months = valentine's day 1986). I bet that was just an awesome, neon colored day in history. Ha.

Here's a little Gaga for everyone who is feeling down today - I know she always cheers me up ♥

UPDATE:

now I'm eating ben and jerry's straight from the container and pretending to do evidence reading but really just watching youtube videos (Jaden Smith, will you be my valentine? ha).

arguable favorite part of the grammys... minus watching it with Dustin + Chinese food + Beer, because that was my definite favorite part!

born this way

Today is a much anticipated Friday for Lady Gaga fans out there - her new single was released this morning, "Born this way"

I'm so happy for new Gaga music! I've been listening to Bad Romance a ton lately, I'm glad to have something new to cycle into the usual mix of things!

Enjoy:

UPDATE:

How come I didn't immediately put this together?

I'm having mixed feelings and things...

more "angry hate sex" music

Maybe not the best video ever, but I figured it was better than the ones that post the lyrics on the screen. Oh Enimen. I wish you didn't endorse Chrysler during the superbowl? I mean, I forgive you now, but, awkward.

Also, Katie and I had nachos X2 today and they were delish. I only want to eat nachos, and lay in bed. And yeah that's about all.

without cars

what a debacle.

I went out to Kell's last night for my friend Ryan's birthday. First though, I went to my friend Brittan's apartment so that we could go together. Our friend Lisa so kindly drove us to Kell's where we ended up having a great time until I ventured down to belltown solo to find a hotdog and a cab home (I know, bad choices, judge if you'd like). So now this morning I am without car. However, it was going to be all good because Katie agreed to come and get me and take me to my car and then watch the superbowl with me. However, when she went out to get in her car, it wasn't there. It had be towed last night. So she is also without car. And we are stranded. Luckily Brittan is amazing, and she is coming to get and take me to my car so I can go get Katie and take her to hers. And while I wait, a very less that entertaining blog post.

I'm also wondering how to mend a broken heart? Because I kind of feel like maybe laying in bed forever would work. I need life motivation. At least Fluffy Face is here to keep me company ♥

lunch

I'm usually a live to eat kinda girl, but today I'm just eating to live.
Lentil soup for lunch. I'd rather have wine, thanks.

Give me your eyes, I need sunshine.

happy groundhog day

Spring is coming early this year (and I really really cannot wait). What a wonderful, random day, based around a groundhog [named Punxsutawney Phil].

And I'm pretty sure that there is no better way to start this cloudy February day than with a cup of coffee and my fav fashion blogs.

cheers to not having class until 11!

obligation

I feel like I need a new blog post but have nothing substantial to write about. Also my brain is basically fried from doing like 11 hours of school today (but on the bright side, I'm basically finished with my homework for the rest of the week, not quite but I have a lot of it done). So I apologize.

Anyway, on Sunday Katie and I went to the Freemont Sunday Market for the first time. We both got some awesome handmade earrings and I got a cashmere scarf for the BF. We also got some delish street/fair food. I like things days like that, especially when it's a Seattle weekend sans rain and extra especially when its with my BFF!!

Also, today I had a fabulous lunch date at Oddfellow's with Natalie. It was a sunny hour long break and three block walk from school. I had a tomato/basil/mozzarella sandwich on a baguette with a salad. Perfect, happy, sunny school day lunch break. I also love how Natalie and I seem to have all the same [boy] issues at the same time, it makes it really easy to relate and it makes you feel better when one of your friends is going through the same thing/having the same thoughts as you!

Friends are so important. My good friends keep me grounded and happy and so many other things. I am so thankful for all of you.

Ok, that's all for now, lovelies
