On Friday

On Friday Dustin didn’t work and his friends Alex and Emily were driving through Seattle on their way to Canada, so they stopped and the 4 of us went to lunch at the Thaiger Room on the Ave. A college favorite of mine. And also, they will now deliver me food to my couch if I order $30 worth. Thai food for one, for dayz!

After that Dustin dropped me off so he could go Christmas shopping. And I went to U Vil in search of foundation. All really exciting, guys. At Sephora I found Lisa and so then we went searching for fleece lined leggings (Antrhopology, they’re pure magic, I haven’t taken them off) and a glass of wine. I really obvi needed the glass of wine after my taxing week of doing nothing:

And also Lisa decided we should order a BUCKET of white truffle popcorn, which was really tasty. And also a lot of popcorn. But can you ever have too much popcorn? I didn’t think so.

Wine + Lisa break was perf. And I was wearing my fur vest too:

And then, after that, I went to Dustin’s and we made dinner (quinoa pasta and sauce over spinach with sausages – clearly all my doing). It was good. Then I forced him to get reallyyy excited about life, and I put on my purple booties and sparkly shirt and we went to Ballard to this club thing (Bal Mar) for a law school birthday and lots of girls wearing short dresses and there was loud music and people grinding on each other. It was a little overwhelming, especially since I was DD and it’s not really Dustin’s thang. Also there: more Lisa (and Brittan too) and we managed to get one really overexposed, red eyed, iPhone picture:

And then around midnight Dustin was like, do you want to go to another bar? And I was like, I kind of just want to go home. And so we did. And then we stayed up until like 2:30 being silly and it was much better than a crowded, loud club. Even if we did have a private room there with bad private service.

So that was my Friday. More weekend coming soon (hint: Heather visited and we took very Seattle-y pictures with my actual camera).

Oh and P.S. on Friday we also decorated Dustin’s apartment for the Rebeka, Dustin, Battlecat Christmas of 2011 (because I may or may not (?? to be decided) be boycotting WS Christmas and unwanted & inappropriate guests roommates):

So we have a: Christmas tree, Christmas presents, Christmas lights and stockings (left to right: Rebeka, Dustin, BC). And it was Dustin’s doing and also we’re classy and I like it!

Stress and Things

So, I’m in my last week of school before finals start. And the stress is already killer. I ate at this Ramen place with Dustin last night and like immediately afterwards my body was like “F YOU for trying to eat this OR ANYTHING!” And now, I’m dying. Just dying. I think it’s stress induced mostly. But vomming and feeling super dizzy when I should be finishing a final paper that’s due tomorrow and worth 100% of my grade is no fun, NO FUN AT ALL!

But briefly I’ll tell you something that was fun: girl’s night! This happened Friday in Hood River after some belated birthday celebration with Beth and Marissa (my favorites)! We started at Brian’s Basement Bar and then frolicked around Hood River in a pack, and didn’t hang out with boys and danced and were silly and it was a lot of fun! OH, and I wore my fur vest which I loved, except when it was 1000 degrees at Jack’s dancing. That was really hot. BUT, here is a shot of all of us:

Girl's Night (2)

Anyway I came back to Seattle on Saturday. When I got back into town Dustin took me bowling in Bellevue and it was fun. Minus the fact that I got a 34. Because clearly I’m really good at bowling. But that’s beside the point. Bowling with Dustin = good/fun/not stressful. OH and after our bowling we played arcade games. Dustin won at air hockey, which is my favorite, so it’s a good thing I’m not competitive (true story, competitive people stress me out). And we played racing games and other fun games and I liked it very much.

And now I’m having a I don’t want to put on makeup or get out of bed type of day, which is very unlike me. I blame the stress. I think it has been hiding and it’s finally starting to emerge. So question for all of you: how do you deal with stress? I’d really like to hear your advice, because this whole eating ramen and rice then being sick for dayz because I’m too stressed to handle food thing isn’t working for me (side note: I know it’s not food poison b/c Dustin tried both my soup and my rice and he’s fine).

Now back to writing my Indianz paper and trying not to vom anymore.

P.S. sorry for all the talk about vom today

Fur Vest Love

Yesterday when Dustin got back from Eugene he was all, “let’s go to J Crew. I want to get some manly awesome Flannel like shirts” (also, “you think that they’re cute and I’d look good in them, right?” Because I win when it comes to helping him pick out clothes). Anyway, I was like “YES PLEASE! I love that idea!! I love J Crew and man flannel and most importantly I never want to do Indianz homework ever again! EVER! Please save me!” So we went to J Crew. And he got his man flannels that are soo cute handsome! And when he went to try them on (because I forced him – you don’t just buy things without trying them on first, c’mon) the woman was all, “we just got those in yesterday and they’re almost all sold out. Because they’re sooo cute handsome!” Win.

Anyway after that he suggested we go to H&M (secretly, as “a thank you Rebeka for not being all pist (yes, with a t) that I left to go to a football game on the anniversary of our first date, which clearly you were really excited about”) and unsuspectingly, I was all, alright, I LOVE H&M (but that’s kind of weird that you are suggesting we go there). But I didn’t question it. So we walked over and I found this just AMAZING fur vest (actually Dustin spotted it… so weird). And he was all I’m buying it for you as an early Christmas gift and because you let me go have fun and watch football, and because that’s what I wanted to get you for Christmas anyway, and this way you’ll shut up about how you want a fur vest sooooooo bad. And I was like, have I really been that bad? And he was like yes. Whoops, sorry!

Anyway the moral of that whole story was: yesterday I got a fur vest and I NEVER WANT TO TAKE IT OFF:

Also, yes, I am taking a picture of myself in my mirror (which makes you look like 30 lbs skinnier than you actually are, it’s kind of awesome). Because I have no friends to take one for me this morning. AND I COULDN’T WAIT!

I wanted to share all of my furry glory with you.

Also the coffee is kicking in. And I don’t want to go to Real Estate. But I must (because I’m the best law student), so we’ll chat later. BYE FRIENDZ! xxoo

P.S. not that you care (?? I wouldn’t) but here is my outfit credit: the plain white shirt is from Nordstrom, H&M FAUX FUR VEST (is the best), F21 jeans, and my boots are from an Urban Outfitters sale (because that’s how I roll).
